Re: The Homework Help thread.
I'm stuck with some homework. You have to write a newpaper report of the Boscastle flood in 2004. It has to be 100-200 words and like a newpaper article/report. Here's what I got so far...
I need more info and stuff to help, anybody got any suggestions?

TRfan09: You could describe what happened during the flood, the reaction of townspeople, rescue attempts etc. What happened after the flood and how it affected the villages and the people who lived there. I don't really know much about this topic but hope I helped to give you ideas

Re: The Homework Help thread.
I think it's good to split the story in different little chapters, maybe with captions above them if you want. So you could begin with an introduction, like what this article is about: the flood, when it happended and that it was a huge disaster in the history of England or something..
Then you could tell what was the cause of the flood. So it was raining heavily that day, but which river(s) flooded and why there? Put a picture of how high the water came, that would be nice.
Then something about the damage. How many houses, how many people died, which towns and villages were affected?
Then :what did people do to protect themselves from the water? What did the government do? Did people leave their houses, where did they go etc etc. Who helped? Costs?
Then you could tell something about after the flood. How was everything repaired? How are they going to prevent something like this to happen again? Could it happen again?
-------
Well, something like that. Good luck!

Re: The Homework Help thread.
It needs you in it.
Write it as if you were one of the people that seen the flood.
And do what everyone else said
I like school although im homeschooled
